Hello Everyone

Yes I am still in the land of the living, still rescuing and re-homing our lovely Greyhound doing the normal things i have been doing for over 30 years now.

As most of you will know I do not do computors so time has flown by dogs have come in and have been re-homed the rescues pensioners, meaning greyhounds have grown older along with myself and life has gone on with no web site which I guess now a days is a NO NO!

It is very easy when you live in the sticks to forget the great outside world of computors and technology.

Thankfully as you will have read on the wedsite Audrey one of our greyhound lovers and owner has come to my rescueand has kindly offerd to up date the website etc, also thanks to stuart who spent sometime setting it up and up dating it for us.

I am also hoping that some of you who have adopted some of our beautifuldogs will join in .in making this site with your story,s photos and your experiences of owning a greyhound.

I am sure you have been happy with your greyhound compaion and i feel that if visitors to the site can find out first hand what these dogs are like as pets it may well help to find that speical home and a chance orf happiness and care for a greyhound that is waiting for a loving family and home, I have always maintained that because these dogs give their best they deserve the chance of a good life once they have retired their racing days and that to me means to live with some one that really cares for them so they can enjoy the life as a family pet like any other breed of dog.

of course over the years some of our owners have lost their greyhounds through old age or illness thats what time does to us all it is very sad but I aways know that those dags have had a wounderful life with people that have looked after and loved them very well. At the rescue we have lost some of our golden oldies and we are now at a time where greyhounds that were with me when I was at selby are now very much pensioners and from 11 to 13 years old some of you will no dout remembers such dogs as Big Ben Kenny Archie Opal and poor Ali now suffering with leukaemia and under medication for his comfort. In an ideal world our dogs wounldn't have to spend the last years in kennels but that will never happen, there will always be the dog that are left behind, theyare all loved here very much so, but it is sad that some of them never are going to get the chance of having that important one to one experience with some one special I think this website should be successful if owners will come forward with thier input concerning characteristics, ease of looking after , exercising these laid back animals and just on information to help any potential homes to be able to find out more.

So Please help Greyhound rescue by contacting Audrey with your stories ets of being a gryhound owner and let the website belong to you all. in the hope we can raise more intrest and good homes for the dogs that need your help.

At the moment we do have both dogs here at the kennels and in yorkshire waiting for homes the new Greyhounds on the web are all yorkshire based and i can guarantee they are all lovely dogs and very re-home able so we are looking for these first, poppy the saluki is here with us at Boston.

Thanking you all for helping this rescue in the past by adopting a special family addition in to your lives and giving them a chance

Kind regards                                                           These are 2 pictures are of Audreys Dog playing with her toys  and using them for a pillow
